Halloween 5k Night Trail a Fantastic Turnout

What a fantastic turnout at the Halloween 5k Night Trail seeing over 200 runners on the start line. An amazing show of fancy dress costumes lined the White water course as they headed off into the unknown woodland. Blood sucking, flesh eating Zombies were dying to greet them as they came deep into their territory. Screams could be heard as they headed straight into a cloud of smoke being chased down by a man wielding a chainsaw!

Thankfully no one was caught to fulfil the Zombies blood curdling thirst managing to get back to the Beefeater Talpore in one piece!

We hope you enjoyed the event and welcome any comments/feedback.

Gary Read - Halloween Costume Winner 2015The Winner of the best costume selected by the Manager of the Talpore was Gary Read of Quakers Running club. It was a very difficult choice with so many amazing outfits.

Special Thanks:
We want to say a special thank you to all the Marshal’s, the ‘Zombies’ and the chainsaw man Doug Howes who did a fantastic job in scaring you all to death, Kay Stokes and Nicola Howes who did a terrific job in registration (it was manic)! The First Aid Team and the Photographer Matthew Wright. Massive thank you to the Talpore for fantastic facilities (hope you took advantage of the bar). The Candy Cones were supplied by Pop Larkins in Billingham, thank you Claire. Big thank you to Herbalife for bringing across the CR7 hope you took full advantage of the pre race drink. They are definitely worth a try, will be popping one in my drinks bottle for my next run!

If you enjoyed this event why not join us for the next night trail on 25th November, more details and entry here.

Look forward to seeing you at our next event.

Cheers

Watch daring runners brave a scary Halloween night race

Running group Muddy Roads hosted a spooky 5k run at the Tees Barrage White Water Centre last night.

And hundreds of people took part – with most dressing up in creepy costumes.

But they weren’t alone. Zombies, and even a man armed with a chainsaw, lurked in the shadows ready to jump out and scare the runners along the way.
