Dear Muddy Runners
Thank you for entering the Holme House 5k Trail 2020. Detailed below is some important information about the event. Please read the information carefully, if you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us.
Please take the time to read the race risk assessment that will be in place at the registration in the Learning Centre (registration)
(Registration):- Learning Centre, HMP Holme House Prison, Holme House Rd, Stockton-on-Tees TS18 2QU – Registration opens at 0900- 09:45am
Toilets are available, although there are no showers. Please bring a spare pair of shoes to change into in case the course is wet and muddy if you intend coming back into the Learning Centre. There are café facilities close by in the Ranch and a Starbucks.
FREE parking is available which is located before you enter the prison grounds approximately 300 meters from the Learning Centre. (see map below) There will be signage to help guide you.
Sunday 23rd February 2020 starting at 10:00. It is a multi-terrain course of 5k in length. The start is located on the grassed area to the left of the prison wall & the finish is located on the grassed area on the right side of the prison wall 100 meters from registration.
There will be a tail runner and marshals on course, if you have any problems please go to the nearest marshal. There is a map of the route available on the website please familiarise yourself with it before coming on the day. All money taken for this event will be donated to Zoe’s Place and Daisy Chain Charity, thank you for your support
The course is multi-terrain with a mix of everything from grass, to trail pathway to tarmac. There are 3 loops – one small, one medium and one larger outer loop. The course will be well marked out with marshal’s in key spots. Some areas of the course will be wet and muddy if the weather conditions have been poor, so you will have fun!. Trail shoes or road shoes will be fine for this course.
First aiders (T.E.S.T Tees Event Safety Teams) will be on the course. If you require attention/help during the race or after, please ask any marshal who will contact the first aiders.
Race numbers will be collected on the day in registration (Learning Centre
). The timing system is exactly the same as Parkrun. You will collect a barcode where this must be either pinned to your top or put somewhere securely during the event. Once passed the finish flag please stay in the order within the funnel and collect your position tag. Please ensure you get these scanned by the scanners or your name will not show on the results.
