Following the latest Government announcement about avoiding all unnecessary social contact in pubs, restaurants, theatres and mass gatherings. Must importantly protecting those most vulnerable in our society.

Like all other event organisers we are now in a position were duty of care to all our runners and volunteers is the upmost paramount. This decision has been an extremely devastating one to make, like all other event organisers we have tried all avenues to make it work but unfortunately it all comes down to protecting and keeping you all safe and we cant guarantee that under the current circumstances.

We are working alongside parties to reschedule some of our events and will announce a new dates as soon as we can. Please give us some time to see if there is a viable alternative date that can be agreed with our partners for the events.

We understand that this decision will be a great disappointment to many, and fully understand the frustration and disappointment that you will all be feeling. I myself have entered loads of running/cycling events and am in the same boat, however I know the decision to cancel has not come lightly so I also will be patient and supportive of my fellow event organisers as I know you will be. I know as a community we will all pull together to support one another through this dreadful time.

The repercussions for the Government decision go well beyond our ability to host our events. We will provide an update as soon as possible to all with alternative arrangements.

We would ask that you please be patient during this period while we work hard to bring the event at a later date. As a result we will not be able to respond at present to individual requests or queries during this time.

We hope that everyone stays safe and the new measures help slow the spread of the COVID-19.
