This will save time and frustration on the day.
Run numbers will be collected on the day in registration for all those that have entered online. The timing system is exactly the same as Parkrun, you will be given a unique barcode which will contain all your personal data, it is paramount that you do not give this number to anyone else to run in your place for health & safety purposes (this contains your own personal data). You can attach the barcode to yourself using a safety pin or pop it in a zipped pocket. You will need to produce this as you come through the finish funnel, and collect your pos tag. Without these we cannot record your time and position in the run. Once through the finish don’t forget to get your barcode and pos tag scanned by the volunteers at the end of the finish funnel.
On the day entries will be taken in registration at the ‘On the Day Entries’ table
The santa run will start at 10:00 over by the Kirkleatham Hall School, there will be directional arrows guiding you to the start. PLEASE NOTE: You will be crossing over a live road so please take care when doing so, there will be marshals to help guide you across.
The terrain is very mixed, with tarmac, trails, fields and woodland. This course will take you deep into the woodland trail so watch out for the squirrels and peacocks as they like to join in! The course is well marked out with directional arrows, both on the floor and eye level with marshals on all key points to help guide you. If you are wearing Santa costumes please make sure these are suitable to run in to avoid them being snagged on any of the vegetation within the woodland area and any trip hazards.
First Aid will be onsite should you require any medical attention please let the nearest marshal know, who will contact the first aiders.
There will be refreshments and food available in the main Café which will open at 10:00.
Make a fun day of it and take the family around the great museum, Owl Centre and the play park. There is loads to do for the whole family.
