Now we can all start enjoying the trail races again using the Covid-19 safety guidelines Muddy Roads are now using a chip timing system to reduce the contact between the runner and volunteer. Race numbers with chips will be given at the start of the series. How will it work:
There are 6 races in the Summer Series:
The Pine Forest – April
The Saltburn 5km – May
Pinchinthorpe 5km – June
Lordstones 5km – July
The Trimdon Loop – August
Newham Grange Farm – Sept
You need to complete 4 from the first 5 races to be eligible for a ‘series prize’ (these will be given on the last race (the Farm) The series will go on a point system which is determined by your own performance.
There will be a race number allocated to you which you MUST keep to use throughout the whole series. I.e. if you attend The Pine Forest 5km, you will receive your unique race number, when you have completed the race you take the number home with you. You must then bring the number along to any of the remaining races in the series. If you ‘lose’ or ‘forget’ your number at any of the races there will be an additional charge of £1 for a replacement. You do not need to attend the first race to get your own unique number this can be collected at any race within this series. You MUST still register and pay ONLINE prior to attending any of the races, come through registration to confirm your attendance for the required ‘Track & Trace’ system.
If you enter any of our other races i.e. Wynyard Hall 10k you will be issued with a separate race number on the day.
We look forward to seeing you all soon.
Stay Safe & Keep Running
