The Saltburn 5km Event Details

Registration
Location: The Alexandra Vaults (Back of Building), Amber Street, Saltburn-by-the-Sea, TS12 1DS
Opening Times: 5:30 PM – 6:20 PM
*If you participated in the Middridge 5km, you must bring your existing race number that says "Summer Series" on the front. If you forget your number or it has been damaged, a replacement can be issued on the night at registration for £1.
*First-time participants should collect their race number at registration*
After registration, please make your way promptly to the start line which is located on the promenade near the coloured beach huts.
Parking: Parking is available in the parking bays along the top, opposite the registration area. Please park responsibly and be mindful of pedestrians.
Facilities: Toilet facilities are available.
The bar at Alexandra Vaults will be open, serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Bring some cash/card if you wish to buy refreshments after the race and enjoy the stunning coastal views.

Start Time: 6:30 PM
Start Location: Promenade near the beach huts (signposted).
5km multi-terrain course, including trail paths, grass sections, flat sections, and gentle downhill areas. Normal running shoes are suitable in dry weather; trail shoes are recommended if wet conditions are expected. The course may become muddy in wet weather. There is only 213ft of climbing!
The route will take you through Hazel Grove Woods and along the promenade, with beautiful cliff-top views of the coastline. Take the time to soak up those views.
If we do not receive these details you will not get a successful transfer. *Please note - we no longer do defers!!
Covid-19 Guidance: If you have tested positive for Covid-19, or are showing symptoms such as a high temperature or a new, continuous cough, please do not attend the event.
Race Results and Prizes: Results will be posted after the event at www.muddyroads.co.uk and on the Muddy Roads Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/trailraces
Prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female runners, which will be given on the night as the runners come through the finish.
Series Cash Prizes are available for juniors and seniors completing 4 out of the first 5 races in the series at the end of the series.
What to Bring: Your race number (if already issued)
- Suitable footwear (trail shoes if wet weather)
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Water for before and after the race (no water stations on course) or go to the pub!
Pizza! (thought that would get your attention): The Alexandra Vaults will be serving up woodfired pizzas just for our runners! All you need to do is pre-order your pizza when you arrive – order before you run, and your pizza will be hot and ready when you cross that finish line! Perfect post-run reward!
