The Lordstones 5km Event Details – Thu 25th June 2026

REGISTRATION Opens at 17:30-18:30pm at: Lordstones Country Park, Carlton Bank, Chop Gate, North Yorkshire, TS9 7JH

RACE START TIME: 18:45pm

Important - If you participated in any of the previous ‘summer series’ events this year,  you MUST bring along that race number that says ‘Summer Series’ on the front, but ‘check in’ at registration to collect your timing chip. If you forget your number, we can issue you will another one at an additional cost of £1 (so don’t forget it) If it is your first race, please collect your race number then make your way to the start (see map below).

PARKING:  Parking is available at Lordstones and will include an over-flow car park too.

FACILITIES:  There are fantastic facilities available, The Lordstones Cafe: https://lordstones.com/lordstones-cafe/ So, bring your extra pennies with you and enjoy some refreshments after the race and soak up the amazing panoramic views. Toilets are available at registration. (please leave the toilets clean & tidy)

MARSHALS:  We are needing volunteers to help marshal out on the course. We do pay ‘travel expenses' (driver only). So if  a family/friend can help out on the night please ask them to complete the form using the link and we will be in touch: https://forms.gle/d395Wp7xbDvZMAPq9

COURSE: Race starts at 18:30 on the trail path located through the gate just after the cattle grit. Please allow enough time to get from registration to the start line which is ½ a mile away.

To the Start:

It is a multi-terrain course of approx 5k in length. The terrain is mixed with a little of everything. It has an uphill start but then has plenty of flat and downhill sections. Normal running shoes will be totally fine in dry weather, can become muddy in wet weather conditions (let’s hope the sun is shining). The course consisting of one lap will snake you around the stunning views of the North Yorkshire Moors with a site of Roseberry Topping! If you have simply come to enjoy the event and using it for a social run, take the time to take in the stunning views, they are simply amazing. There will be a ‘back marker’ (Holly) and marshals on course, if you have any problems please go to the nearest marshal, for assistance.

Club Prize: Dont forget if you have entered your club teams in the first 2 events, make sure you enter again. 2 males & 2 females make up a team.

FIRST AID: There will be First aiders on site. If you require attention/help during the race or after, please ask any marshal who will be able to help.

TRANSFERS: If you have entered and cannot do the event you can transfer your place to another runner, this must be done 3 days before the event (22nd) To transfer your place you must complete this form: https://forms.gle/shnZtNrinSosAVdN6

Prizes given for 1st 2nd and 3rd male and female winners.

Series Cash prizes are given to 1st 2nd and 3rd male and female juniors, so get them entered. Must complete 4 from the first 5 races in the series.  Sponsored by Philip Teece - Billingham Running Club
