Taking you round the scenic trails of the beautiful surroundings of Wynyard Woodland Park. This race offers a mix of multi-terrain and plenty of challenges along the way. Officially designated as a Country Park in 1987 and the Borough’s most popular countryside site, the Woodland Park is based around a 3½ mile section of the Castle Eden branch railway line , running north from the A177 Sedgefield Road to the A689. Part of the site known as Thorpe Wood has also been designated a Local Nature Reserve to reflect its value for visitors and wildlife. It has Free car parking and is family friendly with a children’s play area and a planetarium.
